Riders In The Sky achieved a fine milestone last weekend: 28 years as members of The Grand Ole Opry, as of last Saturday night, June 19.
We celebrated the occasion at a show in Campbell, CA, and dreamed that night of The Grand Ole Opry House drying out from May's awful flood and readying for our return Oct. 1.
Until then the show goes on in the Ryman Auditorium, War Memorial Auditorium, Two Rivers Baptist Church, David Lipscomb University; anywhere two or three microphones can be set up and plugged into the mighty clear channel 50,000 watt voice of WSM, "The Air Castle of the South."
"It's not a building," as the great man once said, "it's a show." And we're happy to be part of it.
